I’ve tried something recently that is completely against my nature - but completely works.
Just take a que from Mary, Jesus’ mother.
Whenever we have a prayer request, it’s best to make it and then leave it. Just as Mary did at the wedding celebration when they ran out of wine - she told Jesus about the problem. Interestingly, she didn’t explain to him why it was important, why she wanted him to do something about it, or what she thought the options were. She simply told him what was concerning her and then left it with him, knowing she could trust what he did.
God already knows what we need. He also knows that we know He can help us.
He’s simply waiting for a request from us before getting involved.
But when you bring it to His attention, leave it with him. No need to remind him. No need to micro-manage. No need to take it back.
Why is something so very simple so very hard?
