Whether you want to be or not, you're being watched by friends, family, business associates.
How you behave when things go or don't go your way.
We all need to realize that the way we react is seen by others. Are you likeable? Are you nice? Are you patient? Are you a good neighbor?
I know too many Christians that quite frankly aren't likable but instead act weird!
What does that say about Christians.
We should be a person that is approachable, easy to talk with, and helpful!
Christians have gotten a bad reputation for being strange. Not helpful and hermit like.
I guess they don't want to mingle with the heathens (Non-Christians are not lepers) for fear that something would rub off..... but aren't these the very people we need to be talking with?
A popular trend online is to be an influencer.
We should all be influencers for Jesus --- but in a good way.
Let's start by not trying to avoid people that aren't believers!
If someone is having a bad day and needs prayer, simply go to them and offer up a quick prayer such as
God ________ is having a bad time and needs your help. Please be with him. Say amen. Don't make it weird. A simple 20 second prayer works.
It shows a person you care and helps the person feel better. That may also encourage them to talk with you more about spiritual things.
How can it be helpful to be a Christian if you act weird?
Let's start being more likeable, be a good influencer, one that people would want to follow, not hide from.
Please be likable,
Commandment number 11.
Don't be weird.
